SHARK TOOTH BLOOD ORANGE VODKA

Shark Tooth Blood Orange Vodka begins it life’s journey as our Premium Shark Tooth Vodka with one little twist. We tweak the corn cut to release a tiny bit more of its natural sugar to give the taste a sweeter finishing tail. We then cut the head and tails off the batch during the distilling process to capture only the sweet heart of the run. This is premium!

We finish capturing the heart and then gently warm the liquid to bring it to a perfect twenty-three degrees Celsius, and ready it for the infusion process. The perfect temperature loosens the bonding molecules in the alcohol and provides a “deeper” infusion of the Shark Tooth naturally expressed flavors.

While the heart of the vodka is warming, ripe blood oranges arrive from the local Florida orchards. The blood oranges are washed, any seeds removed and then the whole blood orange, peel to pulp, is dropped into a cold press machine that crushes the orange, and releases the natural flavors by breaking the cellular level capsules that contain the essence of the fruit. The resulting liquid is then filtered to bond and smoothen the flavors of the peel and pulp so it’s perfect when it’s added to the warm heart of the vodka.

Once everything is ready, the flavoring is heated to match the temperature of the heart, and the paddles in the mixers are turned on to mellow mode. Vodka begins to enter the mixer from the right, as the natural blood orange flavoring begins trickling in from the left. The paddles slowly spin, the container fills, and Shark Tooth Blood Orange Vodka is born.
